Not the result we wanted or expected but I respect the verdict of the people. Congratulations to all those who took part in this election and especially those who were successful.

I feel proud of my family and friends who stood along with me on the hustings as my strength and inspiration. I will always remember your selfless and unconditional support. You all will have a special place in my heart for ever.

Finally, I would like to thank all those who voted for me. I’m especially grateful to people of Molonglo Valley for their trust and putting me at the top of the ticket across all candidates from all parties at my home booth of Coombs.
